Spring Greens

It seems to me that the nicest thing you can do to a vegetable is splash it with olive oil, dust it with salt, sprinkle it with pepper, and lightly sauté it- that seems to be the magic formula for awesome veggies! 

But recently, I discovered a new technique that is essentially the same, but with the addition of balsamic vinegar.  Asparagus is just starting to appear in the store, and it's so much fun to snap the stalks!  Always a surprise to see where they snap off!

Wow!  Absolutely delicious.  This was the method suggested by The Seasons on Henry's Farm for cooking asparagus, and even though asparagus always looks a bit worse for the wear after sautéing, I have to say that it is absolutely amazingly scrumptious!

Les asperges font une apparition au marché, et j'ai décidé d'en préparer d'une nouvelle manière- les faire sauter avec un peu de vinaigre balsamique (sans gluten).  J'avoue que les asperges ont l'aire un peu usées après la poêle, mais, fais moi confiance, le goût est absolument délicieux!
