A la campagne!
Would you like to come with me and visit the garden? It is our little piece of paradise- drenched in sun and smelling of sweet straw.
We have tried growing onions for the first time this season- and they're doing great!
I sprinkled carrot seeds all around the onion patch, and a few have started to come up. Their tops are so delicate and lacey!
Next to the onions, there are two different little gourd patches planted with mini gourds to use as decorations in the fall (I'm soooo excited!) as well as dipper gourds to be dried and used as ladles.
When they are just sprouting, gourds are the absolute cutest little plants with the their tiny oval leaves. Only our intrepid pea plant rivals the gourds in botanical cuteness!
There's also a nice variety of tomatoes and peppers...
On a aussi une bonne variété de piments...
...but a strange blight seems to have struck our normally hardy zucchini plant. I'll have to keep a close eye on it to see if any more of the leaves are damaged.
...mais la courgette souffre d'une maladie mystérieuse.
On the far side of the garden there is a wild and overgrown spot, and somewhere in the midst of these weeds is a bean plant, but I can't seem to find it, so instead of weeding and possibly ripping it up, I've decided to let it grow and see if one of these days the bean plant will emerge triumphant.
Un coin oublié du jardin est couvert de mauvaises herbes, et, quelquepart parmi les mauvaises herbes, il y a un haricot vert, mais je l'ai perdu!
And finally, let's visit my favorite spot at the garden- the mint next to the water spout. It's a cool place and smells so sweet!
Et enfin, mon coin préféré du jardin: la menthe qui pousse autour du robinet- un endroit frais et un parfum magnifique!
