Out for a Drive

Yesterday it was so very rainy all day, and the clouds were low and dark and tumbling across the sky.  They say it's the hurricane that's caused this gloomy weather here.  So we decided not to stay inside, but to go for a drive, be out in the open, drive far, far across the fields, and see where we ended up.  It turns out that we ended up by the Mississippi River.  It was beautiful and powerful, filled with water fowl and lily pads, reflecting the grayness of the sky, but feeling exhilarating rather than oppressing.  Here are some pictures- hope you enjoy:
