Bird Hunting in Manhattan
Mr. Mersy had the day off of work yesterday, so we put on our parkas, hats, and gloves, and went bird hunting in Manhattan. Seriously.
Here's what we "shot" with our camera:
A whooping crane
A dodo
A blue heron
And a pheasant
The woods were thick with timber and delicate winter-blooming flowers.
When we got lost, we asked for directions from some sweet little ladies who told us where the nearest metro station was.
Along the way, we also spotted a rare white rhino and a dormant grizzly bear:
We made it through the wild safe and sound and back to our little nest half-frozen but refreshed! It's a wilderness out there!
