Pom Pom Flowers

Oh fabulous yarn, what can't a crocheter do with you?!

Do you remember a while back when I talked about all the pom pom making that's been going on around here recently?  Well, the little puff balls have been put to good use.  I was really inspired by this post, but I liked the stylized simplicity of pom pom flowers best, as representative of the real thing, rather than really trying to make them look real.  I know that's waaaaaayyyyy too meta for discussing pom poms, but oh well!

A few dowel rods later, and a whole pom pom prairie popped up over here in Mersydotes land!  Would you like to come and pick a bouquet with me?

Now the only thing we need is a nice little vase to put them in...
